Sledding on our white Christmas! Merry Belated Christmas everyone! Boy was it a fun and crazy week, full of fun, presents, and lots of snow.  At the start of this week we had our zone conference for the transfer which was super fun! It began with a video a missionary made of a collage of photos missionaries sent in from their missions, both in the MLM and other original assignments. The opening scene was a rendition of the Marvel movie opening, with the Avengers theme in the background. It was sooooo well done, I was blown away. It was super cool too because I sent in several photos and I think all of them were used. They did a super good job of including everyone, which was amazing. Then, at the end of the conference we had a little white elephant gift exchange in our zone, which was super fun. I ended up with a giant slinky, a stretch armstrong toy and some candy. My comp got some penguin slippers and a super long elf hat. I think the funniest present there was a little cheetah fanny

Our 4-foot Christmas tree 😀 Merry Christmas everyone!!! I can't believe it's finally that time of the year, full of love, nativities, gifts and fun. Even away from home, it still feels like the Christmas I know and love, and for that I am extremely grateful. One thing this week that has made our Christmas just that much more special was thanks to our Secret Santa. On Tuesday night we heard a knock at our door, and upon opening the door we found a big box of gifts, and heard the front door to our apartment building close. We ran to the window to try and catch the culprit, but they were already long gone. They got us 12 gifts for the last 12 days of Christmas and prefaced them with some poetry. It was so sweet, and brightened our week as we opened the gifts each day. We have some suspicions of who it might have been, but no solid conclusions yet. But nonetheless we are very thankful. Festive socks from secret Santa. We also have been gathering some gifts from our members for o

Happy Holidays everyone!! This week in our mission we had what has been called our "sprint week". Our goal was to invite as many people to, learn about the gospel, read the Book of Mormon, and go to church, and also to invite our members to have lessons with us. It's always fun to have a mission-wide goal or focus to motivate us, and it made our week much more fun. It came to the second to last day of our week, Saturday, and we were hardly halfway to our goals. President Heap, our mission President in the morning over Zoom shared a clip from the movie "Remember the Titans" and invited us to make that Saturday a day to remember. Well in our district alone we decided to have a little competition with Ben and Jerry's as a prize. Elder Bradford and I worked really hard and so did the rest of our district. By the end of the day we all sent in our numbers, and we lost by 1 invite. Then later that night we received our mission-wide numbers, and we had doubled all o

Our lovely snowman This week was quite awesome! We have been having a lot of fun with this Christmas Light The World initiative, and helping others to participate as well! We also had our first major snow day this week in which we got a good 5 inches of snow or so. But overall it was a blast. For #LightTheWorld we were able to make banana bread for one of our dear friends, nachos for another, make a few posts on social media, and help shovel a member's driveway and car out. A member in our branch had a doctor's appointment the next afternoon and needed us to come up and shovel some snow. Turns out his driveway connects directly to a main road and the snowplows buried his car... well we drove down and shoveled as best we could, and salted the tough ice on the ground under the snow. The drive up in the morning was a little slick, but on our way back most of it had melted away, which was nice. The day before, we also shoveled the sidewalks at our apartment complex, and just afte

(Kasey is in the green beanie above the "l".) Hello everyone!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and some great times with family and friends this week. This week certainly flew by and has been super fun! The day before Thanksgiving we had tradeoffs with our zone leaders down in Saginaw. It was actually really nice to be in someone else's area and with other missionaries for the day. It was weird to be in a much more populated area with tons of restaurants. For lunch we got Chipotle, which was delicious, and then Culver's shakes later. Elder Bradford and I also made pumpkin pie from squash the day before, and brought some for the zone leaders. One of the elders really hates squash and was hesitant to try it, but he really liked it!  That night we stayed over in Saginaw and then had Thanksgiving all together for the first half of the day. In the morning we played about 3 hours of football which was super fun! It was freezing, but we warmed up quick. I hadn
