Week 36 (Week 19 in Michigan)

Hello everyone!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and some great times with family and friends this week. This week certainly flew by and has been super fun!
The day before Thanksgiving we had tradeoffs with our zone leaders down in Saginaw. It was actually really nice to be in someone else's area and with other missionaries for the day. It was weird to be in a much more populated area with tons of restaurants. For lunch we got Chipotle, which was delicious, and then Culver's shakes later. Elder Bradford and I also made pumpkin pie from squash the day before, and brought some for the zone leaders. One of the elders really hates squash and was hesitant to try it, but he really liked it!
That night we stayed over in Saginaw and then had Thanksgiving all together for the first half of the day. In the morning we played about 3 hours of football which was super fun! It was freezing, but we warmed up quick. I hadn't run that much in a long time, so the next morning, my legs were dead. But it was so fun. Right after the game we filmed a video, and then had some lunch altogether.

Later that night, we drove back to our area and two families brought us some Thanksgiving dinner including turkey, cheesy potatoes, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing, and pie. It was soooooo good. Like, its fun to cook for yourself sometimes, but I have certainly been missing my mom's cooking, and getting home-cooked meals this Thanksgiving reminded me of home. Later that night, while watching a Thanksgiving devotional, we found out the new senior missionary couple arrived, and so we drove over and gave them the key to the house. Their names are Elder and Sister Sommers, and they are super nice, but not very tech savvy... most likely we will have to help them with that in the future, haha. But we are excited to have them in the Branch now.

This was also the last week of the transfer and on Saturday we got our transfer calls. It looks like Elder Bradford and I will be staying in Bad Axe for another transfer! We have a few people in our zone leaving including an elder named Elder Sherman who is going back to his original assignment in South Africa.
This week as well we found a new friend on Facebook who accepted a Book of Mormon! She said that she wants to read it every night after her kids go to bed, and seems super excited about it. Honestly, it's just so cool to see someone genuinely excited about the Book of Mormon. So hopefully we can continue to work with her and help her come closer to Christ.
Anyways, that was my week! I love you all and I hope you have a wonderful rest of this Christmas season.
