Week 60 (Week 14 Back in Brazil!)

The wonderful Suelen family

Hello everyone! Yet another amazing week in the service of the Lord has gone by, and boy am I grateful to be out here! This week, I spent my last few days with Elder Souza, who will be flying home tomorrow morning. I'm definitely gonna miss this hilarious and awesome Elder. It's been a lot of fun serving with him, and learning from him, as he is an amazing missionary, and will certainly be a wonderful member missionary as well. I also found out yesterday that I will be staying in my area, Bras Cubas, and will be training a brand new missionary! I have no idea who he is, or if he will be a Brazilian or not, but nonetheless I am so excited!

This week we also had another lesson with our friend Ana, and invited her to be baptized this next Sunday in which she accepted! Elder Souza is sad to miss the baptism, but happy for her nonetheless. She really has been prepared to receive the gospel, I can tell you that much. There are a few things still left to teach and do, but if all goes smoothly, we should see a baptism here in Bras Cubas in about a week!

One of our districts in our zone was also without a district leader, and so on Wednesday I was preparing to lead a district meeting for a couple pairs of sisters, but last minute the assistants to the President just had them join in on another district meeting. Part of me was frustrated to have prepared for nothing, but the more part of me was relieved.

On Sunday, we also had our first day back at church in person, and had 8 friends attend Sacrament meeting, 5 in person and 3 online. It was such a miracle, and a blessing to have so many investigators there! I also played piano again this Sunday, and though I didn't play perfectly by any means, a member afterwards handed me some sheet music and asked if I could accompany a small group for a musical number next Sunday. Luckily the piece is pretty simple, but as nervous as I am, I'm also very excited.

Later in the day on Sunday, we had a nice lunch with some of our favorite people in the ward, the Suelens and their family, and then some dinner with our friend Dafine and her mother and aunt.

The wonderful Suelen family again!

But overall this week was wonderful, and though I'm sad to say goodbye to Elder Souza, I'm also excited to start a new transfer training and zone leading. I have a feeling we are going to see some great miracles this transfer, so stay tuned! But anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful week!
