Week 75 (Week 29 Back in Brazil!)

Hey everybody! Boy was this a week full of miracles! On Sunday, we were able to see our dear friend Desiree be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! She was really nervous, but felt a warm peace after the service, and is glad to be a member of Christ's church! One for the elders who previously served here and found Desiree, Elder Silva, was the one who baptized her, and so they had to travel up to our area, traveling for about 3-4 hours just to arrive, and the same to return. Later on Sunday, we were also able to deliver the sacrament to a wonderful family in the ward we hadn't met until now, and then traveled with another member to give a few priesthood blessings to her family. It was a really sweet experience, and even though her mother and grandmother weren't members of the church, they gladly accepted blessings, and agreed to receive us in their home again some other day.

This week we also met a few inspired and prepared individuals, Sarah, Gabrielle, Marcela and Leticia. Sarah is a young woman who was taught by the missionaries before, but because of strife in the family, decided not to be baptized at the time. However, today she moved back to our ward with a firm desire to be baptized, and so we are hoping that here soon she can follow the example of Christ and enter the waters of baptism!  Her sister Gabrielle is also very interested, and the two of them were able to come to church this Sunday as well.

Marcela actually reached out to us out of nowhere when we first arrived, with a fervent interest in the church. Although she wasn't able to come to Church on Sunday this week, we had a very spiritual lesson with her and her friend Leticia in our chapel during the week. Let's just say we have very high hopes for these two!

Today we also were able to go to the mall again, and ordered some "Finger Licking Good" KFC! To be honest, I forgot how much I love KFC chicken, so it made for an awesome lunch.

KFC with out district!

But thank you all again for all your love and support. This week we worked extra hard in our labors, and the Lord provided, so I promise the same can go for you all! I challenge you all to share the word of God with those around, and especially the message that the church of Jesus Christ has been restored in our day. It's a message that changes lives, and you all are just as capable as full time missionaries to change the lives of those around you.
