Week 88 (Week 42 Back in Brazil!)

Hat shenanigans

What a short yet miraculous weekend it has been. I'll keep things short and sweet this week since last P-day was only 3 days ago, but trust me when I say that it was a very eventful 3 days.

On Friday, we had an awesome district council, in Jardim Odete, and practiced our Christmas tune that we will be performing on December 7th, at our zone conference. It was a little rocky, but that's what practices are for right?!

Saturday afternoon we took an uber down to Suzano to do 2 baptismal interviews interviews Sister Bird and Sister Carvalho. Julia and Rodrigo are two super sweet kids, with such a huge desire to be baptized, and so the next day on Sunday morning they entered into their first covenant with God, both baptized and confirmed as members of the Church of Jesus Christ.
Say hello to our English speaking buddy!
(Yes, she speaks very good English)

After a long walk on Sunday afternoon, we had a powerful lesson with our friend Denise, in preparation for her baptism, and challenged her to go a week straight without drinking coffee. She admitted that it would be difficult, but promised to do her best this week, so that she can be baptized. And she also asked for me to baptize her on the 5th, which will be super special! Then, on our way home we decided to stop by and visit our friend Beatriz who has wanted to be baptized for the last 3 years, but wasn't allowed to by her parents. However, when we arrived her grandmother answered the door and excitingly accounted that Suzana (Beatriz's mother) approved for her to be baptized, and also decided to return to the church, after 14 years of inactivity. There is nothing else we can say, but that this was a Miracle, through and through. So we are now preparing for 2 baptisms on the 5th, this Sunday, woo-hoo!!!
